BEACHES & THE FLAGLER PIER

Be sure to visit the Flagler Beach Municipal Pier, an ideal spot for a sunrise stroll, fishing, or simply taking in the stunning ocean views.
WE ARE DOG FRIENDLY
Dogs are welcome north of North 10th Street and south of South 10th Street, but must be kept on a leash, less than 5 ft, at all times. The central beach area around the pier is not pet-friendly, so plan accordingly if you’re bringing your furry friend.

LIFEGUARDS
Lifeguards are only on duty weekends from October to May, and daily between Memorial Day and Labor Day, covering the area from North 9th to South 9th Street. If you’re swimming outside those times or areas, be extra mindful of ocean conditions.
Flagler Beach lifeguards are managed by the City of Flagler Beach, specifically through the Parks and Recreation Department. Their program is financially supported by both the City and Flagler County, thanks to a collaborative funding agreement. While the lifeguards operate under the city's jurisdiction, they are not part of any state or federal agency. The service is locally managed, with certification often provided by organizations like the United States Lifesaving Association (USLA).

Beach wheelchairs and accessible ramps are available at the lifeguard station at the Funky Pelican and Gamble Rogers State Park, making it easy for everyone to enjoy the shoreline. Just ask the lifeguard or the State Park attendant, and bring ID if you’d like to use the equipment.
